'Rent a bike' launches at Metro stations

Bengaluru-based rental and peer-to-peer vehicle sharing platform Drivezy, on Thursday, launched 125 bikes for first and last mile connectivity for Metro commuters in the city. The Activa 'Mobikes' which have been launched to enhance connectivity were unveiled by HMRL managing director, N V S Reddy at an event held in the city.

Starting Friday, commuters can rent vehicles for an initial fee of Rs.3 per kilometre



at Balanagar, Kukatpally, Prakash Nagar, Tarnaka and Mettuguda Metro stations by submitting their driving license and a KYC document (Aadhaar or PAN ) on the company’s mobile app or by logging on to their website. “The service will eventually spread to all stations. The company will also offer a monthly subscription for commuters to rent bikes for a seven or 15-day periods.” said Reddy
