Rahul calls KCR 'redesigning specialist'

Congress President Rahul Gandhi on Tuesday termed chief minister K Chandrasekhar Rao as a ‘redesigning specialist’ and charged him with using a ‘magic wand’ to jack up the cost of irrigation projects and ensuring that the wealth derived out of it is enjoyed by only a ‘single family’ (KCR family).

Rahul alleged that both Modi and KCR were indulging in corruption in the name of ‘re-design’. “Modi gifted Rafale contract worth thousands of crores to his friend Anil Ambani by re-designing the contract and KCR redesigned irrigation projects. Earlier, it was corruption and now it is re-designing,” he said.

“KCR has snatched away land from the poor by redesigning the projects. He also removed the name of Dr BR Ambedkar from the Pranahita Chevella project and renamed it Kaleshwaram. He used a magic wand and turned a Rs 38,000 crore project into nearly Rs 1 lakh crore project. Tender

Addressing a public meeting of students and unemployed at Saroornagar stadium, Rahul said that the Telangana agitation revolved around the slogan “Neellu, Nidhulu, Niyamakalu” (water, funds and jobs). “I believe it was a great dream. Even today you want your state to prosper with these benefits. Despite formation of T, your dreams are still unfulfilled,” he said. He alleged KCR did not fulfil the promises made to their families of Telangana martyrs.

“He will talk about his dreams. But when other people speak about theirs, they are beaten up,” he said. He said that if voted to power, the focus of Congress government would be creation of jobs, protection of farmers, improvement in education system and healthcare. He invited the youth of T to join Congress.
