Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao swung into action on Wednesday and instructed the officials concerned to prepare a department-wise action plan for recruitment to fill up 85,000 vacancies in the State.
Stating that the recruitment process should be initiated without any delay, the Chief Minister, who held a high level review meeting on the issue at Pragathi Bhavan, expressed regret that certain elements were trying to put legal obstacles on various measures taken up by the State government including recruitment.

He directed the officials to consult the Law department before issuing the notifications, and asked them to be prepared to face court cases that may be filed. “All departments should work in perfect coordination,” he said, adding that utmost care should be taken while preparing the guidelines to ensure there is no scope for any litigation.

Chandrashekhar Rao instructed that the State government officials concerned under Chief Secretary S P Singh and Telangana State Public Service Commission officials under its Chairman Prof Ghanta Chakrapani should meet once a week to expedite the recruitment process. He also instructed Deputy Chief Minister Kadiam Srihari to prepare an action plan for recruitment of thousands of teachers in Residential Schools in the State.

Prof Chakrapani informed the Chief Minister that the TSPSC was formed to recruit candidates departments-wise, and so far,

the Commission had issued 58 notifications department-wise. The process was expedited after the formation of Telangana State, he said, adding that so far, over 5,000 candidates were appointed and the recruitment process for another 12,000 would be completed in a month’s time. Since legal matters were resolved, results for Group I and Group II will be declared shortly.

Earlier, Kadiam Srihari, who convened a high level meeting with officials, discussed various aspects including guidelines for issuing notifications and and possible legal tangles. Keeping in mind the legal hurdles faced in the past on recruitment, Srihari sought clarification on whether the notifications should be issued for all 31 districts or for the 10 erstwhile districts as per the Presidential Orders on it. The Deputy Chief Minister asked the Law Department to give its proposals and suggestions on these points. He also urged the officials to finalise the educational qualifications and the roster points for candidates. All the departments were directed to submit the number of vacancies to avoid delays.

Srihari also discussed the legal issues pertaining to issue of District Selection Committee (DSC) notification which was long pending. The government is planning to issue DSC notification to recruit 15,000 teachers posts. The Law Department has been directed to explore all options to ensure litigation-free notification and recruitment of teachers.
