India Post will come up with a postal stamp to honour Phalguna, the tigress now roaming in the forests of Asifabad district.

Recently, the tigress gave birth to three cubs. The big cat is responsible for the increase of tiger population in Telangana. Incidentally, Phalguna migrated to

Telangana forests from Tadoba, Maharashtra. Till now the tigress has delivered a total of seven cubs.

The postal stamp will bear the image of Phalguna. This is the first time that a big cat from Telangana has been featured in India postage.
