All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen president and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi on Monday laid foundation for RR Roti Ghar in the presence of Akbaruddin Owaisi, MLA, and Hameeduddin, chairman of RR Group of Companies.

While addressing the gathering, Asaduddin Owaisi announced that he would give two vans from his MPLAD funds to the RR charitable trust for distribution of food packages.

Owaisi said providing food to the needy at their doorstep was a unique concept. Many poor families could not effort meals twice a day because of their poverty. There were people who would not come forward to

seek help due to their self respect. Helping such people by providing food at their houses was a great service, he said.

Akbaruddin Owaisi asked the well-to-do in the community to come forward to educate poor students. He said those who had money could serve the society through such philanthropy.

According to Hameeduddin, they would make food for at least 10,000 people every day once the construction of  Roti Ghar was over.“We will call for applications from poor families. After scrutiny of applications, we will issue tokens to eligible families,” he said.
