The state, which has not received major rainfall for the past 10 days, might finally witness spells of heavy shower, warn meteorologists.

According to a warning issued by the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, Adilabad, Nirmal, Komarambheem, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Peddapalli, Mancherial, Jayashankar Bhupalpally , Warangal (rural and urban), Mahabubabad, Bhadradri, Kothagudem, Khammam, Suryapet and Nalgonda, will witness heavy rains for the next 24 hours.

“The rains would cover anywhere



between 51-75 % of the districts. Also, intensity of the rains would be considerably high to the tune of one to six centimetres, over the next 24 hours,“ sa id YK Reddy , direc tor, IMD Hydera bad.

The sudden rains, experts claimed were due to a cyclonic circulation passing over South East Madhya Pradesh adjoining Vidarbha.

Since Wednesday morning Hyderabad is experiencing heavy rainfall and students, office goers face difficulty to reach to their destinations.
