KTR to lay foundation for flyover today

Municipal administration and urban development (MA&UD) minister K Taraka Rama Rao (KTR) will lay the foundation stone for the construction of multi-level flyovers and grade separators at Botanical Gardens and Kothaguda Junction on Friday.

The project, being taken up to ease traffic congestion at Botanical Gardens and Kothaguda junction, has received an administrative sanction of Rs.263 crore. The contract was awarded to M Venkat Rao Infra Projects. According



to Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC), apart from Botanical Gardens and Kothaguda Junction, the project is expected to ease 65 per cent of traffic at Kondapur Junction also.

On Thursday, KTR held a review meeting pertaining to ongoing civic works in GHMC’s Serilingampally Zone. He directed top GHMC officials to personally monitor all the civic works and speed up the projects, including road restoration work.
