IT&MAUD minister KT Rama Rao said that Telangana was able to provide one lakh direct employment opportunities in the IT sector in the past three and half years. He was laying the foundation stone for IT park in Karimnagar on Monday. According to him, software exports have reached Rs.87,000 crore from Rs.56,000 crore in the state after the TRS came to power in 2014.

The IT tower is being set up at a cost of ₹25 crore and is expected to be completed within one year. It will also provide plug and play facilities for IT companies, KTR added.

Six companies entered into



a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the state government on the first day of inception of the IT Park. In the first phase, 1000 direct employment opportunities will be created for the youth. To ensure youngsters from the state get employed, the government is attracting investments into IT and several allied sectors.“We will set up the regional center of TASK for job seekers and T-Hub for job creators in Karimnagar.” the MAUD minister said. “Our youngsters are second to none and I hope and believe that the next Googles, Facebooks, and WhatsApps will come out of India.” he added
