IMD predicts moderate rain in Hyderabad next week

Hyderabad is expected to receive light to moderate rainfall in the coming week, said Indian Meteorological department (IMD), Hyderabad, on Thursday.

Light rain lashed several parts of the city on Thursday as well and the city received a total rainfall of 4.3mm. According to IMD officials, rain and thundershowers are very likely to hit several parts of the city on Friday as well.

Meanwhile, the weekly forecast issued by IMD’s Hyderabad division shows that the city is



expected to witness light rain or drizzle between August 18 and August 20. On August 21 and 22, the city has been predicted to receive rain or thundershowers. Also, there will be no major changes in temperature over the next one week, said officials.

“The temperature will hover around 22 and 25 degree Celsius over the next seven days and the city is expected to see light rainfall. There is possibility of thundershowers in few parts of the city,” said an IMD official.
