Hyderabad witness rains on Sunday

As usual Sunday started with a hot sun beating down with a lot of intensity. However, the weather started to change by afternoon when dark clouds gathered, triggering sudden downpour in several locations in Hyderabad.

Rain water stagnation occurred at many places including Jubilee Hills and Santosh Nagar. Heavy rains hit areas such as Begumpet, Qutbullapur, Balanagar, Miralam while there was normal rainfall recorded in Musheerabad Golconda, Maithrivanam, Amberpet,



Pashamylaram, and Nampally.

Hyderabad Mayor, Bonthu Rammohan reviewed the developments from GHMC control room and oversaw emergency teams involved in clearing stagnated water.According to officials, the emergency teams at the ground level have kept close watch on low lying areas to ensure smooth flow of traffic.

Meanwhile, Metrological Department forecasted few spell of moderate rains with thunders for the next two days in the city.
