Hyderabad rains set 100-year old record

With cities receiving rainfall for nearly 15 days, it has set up even a meteorological record. Hyderabad received 248.3 mm of rainfall in the first 15 days of October making it the highest rainfall in the last 100 years during the month.

Hyderabad received 355.1 mm of rainfall in October 1916 which



is the highest record ever. Previously, the city crossed the 200 mark in October 2013 when it received 239.1 mm of rainfall.If the rains continued beyond October 15, Hyderabad would have surpassed even the 1916 record. According to the data, the city recorded the highest rainfall of 499 mm in September, 1908.
