The Hyderabad High Court has refused to issue stay order on the gazette notification issued by the Waqf Board in connection with the Guttala Begumpet Waqf land. During the hearing of the petitions challenging the gazette notification issued by the Waqf board, Justice A Ram Lingeshwar Rao refused to issue stay order and the hearing has been postponed to next date.

During the hearing, the court had directed the Waqf board to listen to all the claimants and after reviewing the documents



produced by them, issue gazette notification. Waqf Board issued a notice to 154 illegal occupants and asked them to produce documents supporting their claim.After reviewing the documents produced by various institutions and persons, the Waqf Board rejected their claim and issued fresh gazette notification.

The gazette notification was again challenged in the High Court seeking stay order, however, the High Court rejected the plea and refused to issue stay order.
