Heavy rainfall predicts in Telangana

Met. office has issued a warning that in all the districts of Telangana, heavy rainfall is likely on Thursday.

The bulletin warned of thunderstorms associated with isolated heavy rain occurring at places in Telangana districts on Thursday. On Wednesday, thunderstorms with heavy rain lashed all districts in the State. According to the forecast, light to moderate rain/thundershowers will occur at many places in all districts from October 12 to 15.

of rainfall (in cm) in the State were: Bheemadevarapalle 8, Luxettipet 7, Makthal and Sangareddy 5 each, Dharmapuri, Narayankhed, Peddemul, Dharpalle and Huzurabad 4 each, Thimmapur, Bhuvanagiri, Kodangal, Nizamsagar, Tandur and Ghattu 3 each.

The Met department bulletin said the heavy rain was caused by the low pressure area over Jharkhand and adjoining West Bengal becoming less marked and the cyclonic circulation over central Maharashtra and its neighbourhood persisting.
