Municipal Minister K T Rama Rao announced the state government would consider giving health cards to sanitation workers. He also said the government is committed to resolving issues and grievances pertaining to the workers.

The minister held a review meeting with employees and workers unions of all municipalities in the state. He warned officials that if any worker is found to be working at the houses officials for their personal purposes, respective commissioners would be made responsible and would be suspended. Employees unions' representatives asked government to enhance the salaries apart from providing ESI, PF and two bedroom houses for which the minister said government would consider them.
