Deputy Chief Minister Mohammed Mahmood Ali on Thursday chaired an all department coordination meeting to discuss the arrangements for conduct of Haj Camp 2018 for smooth departure and arrival of Haj pilgrims from Hyderabad Embarkation Point. He reviewed the arrangements being made by Central and state government departments together. “No stone should be left unturned for providing comfort and convenience to Haj pilgrims,” he said.

The deputy CM also asked Saudi Airlines authorities to ensure that no Haj flight is delayed and all amenities be provided to the pilgrims. This year 7,800 pilgrims from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka would fly to Jeddah from Hyderabad. Representatives from 26 departments and organisations were present at the meeting and hoped that exemplary services would be provided to the



pilgrims.

The Haj Camp 2018 will commence from July 30 at Haj House in Nampally and pilgrims will start proceeding for Haj from August 1. The last flight carrying pilgrims would fly on August 16, each flight would carry 300 pilgrims.

AK Khan, advisor to Telangana government on minority affairs, sought assurance from officials of all the departments for their active cooperation. The TS Haj Committee chairman Masiullah Khan asked GMR to provide efficient services to the pilgrims at the Haj Terminal.
Meanwhile, the deputy CM expressed his dissatisfaction with GHMC and water board officials for not attending the meeting. He asked Haj Committee and Waqf Board officials to ensure that they don’t give a miss to such important meetings in future.
