Govt to issue pattadar passbooks on Jan 26

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao on Tuesday announced that the state government will distribute a tamper-proof pattadar passbooks with 26 security features to the farmers on the occasion of Republic Day, on January 26, 2018.

The Chief Minister made this announcement while replying to a question during the discussion on the purification and updating of land records, continued for the second day in the State Assembly on Tuesday. 

The new pattadar passbooks modelled on the lines of the passport documents. The water resistance passbook will not be affected even if they are in water for a period of one month.

Unlike earlier, the documents could not be interpolated with overwriting on them. Making any entries is possible only with a special pen used by the authorised officials, he pointed out. The chief minister said that it was also decided to overhaul the land record data as well as the functioning of the registration



process to make it less complicated.

As part of the move, he said that there are 141 sub-registrar offices in the State will continue to function. Except in those 141 places, the government will give the authority of land registrations to the MROs in about remaining 443 mandals in the state.It was also decided to appoint 1000 Revenue Information Technology Officers (RITOs) from mandal, division, district collectorate and Chief Commissioner of Land Administration (CCLA) and other wings of the revenue department.

Whenever a transaction takes place in the sub registrar’s office the same will be transferred to the MRO on the same day. In turn, the MRO’s effects the mutation in the revenue land records and the same will be uploaded online. And, the land records thus published, and which will be made available in public domain will be the official land record document of the State government, he clarified.
