BSNL is planning to launch a slew of services including Wi-Fi hotspots and services in public places and providing internet services at 4G plus speeds. In the city the services would be commissioned first at Koti, LB Nagar, Maitrivanam at Ameerpet and one another location.

“Rs 400 crore has been sanctioned in Telangana and AP circles for replacement of structures and adding 1.282 3G towers and also



commissioning of 1,150 4G towers,” informed the Chief General Manager L Anantharam. From January 2018 onwards select cities and towns will get 4G services and move farther by expanding to other towns in a progressive fashion. 

During the financial year 2016-17, the combined circle (AP and Telangana) achieved a gross landline connections of 1,70,121 which is 6.86% high when compared to the previous year.
