Suarez Navarro beats Sharapova at US Open

In Tennis, five-time Grand Slam champion Maria Sharapova is out of the US Open after she was beaten 6-4 6-3 by Spain's Carla Suarez Navarro in women's singles' round sixteen. The Spaniard will now face last year's runner-up Madison Keys in the quarter-final.

In men's single, Swiss player Roger Federer is playing with Australia's John Millman for a place in the quarterfinals. The winner of the match will clash with former champion Novak Djokovic. Earlier, Croatia's Marin Cilic has defeated 10th-seeded Belgium's David Goffin 7-6, 6-2, 6-4 in men's singles to book a US Open quarter-final against Kei Nishikori. 

The match between Cilic and Nishikori will be played tomorrow. In



other men's singles quarter-finals, J.Del PLotro will take on J.Isner at 11 am, this morning. Isner reached the quarterfinals for the first time in 7 years. Defending champion Rafael Nadal yesterday reached the quarter-finals. Next, he will face Dominic Thiem tomorrow. 

In the other women's singles quarter-finals, S.Stephens will take on Anastasija Sevastova of Latvia tonight at 09.30 pm. While six-time champion Serena Williams will face Karolina Pliskova of Czechoslovakia in the quarterfinals tomorrow.  Japan's Naomi Osaka reached her first Grand Slam quarter-final by beating Aryna Sabalenka 6-3 2-6 6-4. Osaka will next face Ukraine's Lesia Tsurenko.
