Angelique Kerber stunned 23-time Grand Slam champion Serena Williams on Saturday  to lift her first Wimbledon title. In a thrilling Women's Singles summit clash, the 11th seeded German defeated Serena, a seven-time winner, in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3 to add to her 2016 Australian Open and US Open trophies. With the win, Kerber has become the first German woman to win the title since Steffi Graf in 1996. Serena was bidding a record-equaling



24th major trophy.

Meanwhile, the Men's Singles Final between three-time winner Novak Djokovic and Kevin Anderson will be played yesterday. Djokovic has 12 Grand Slam titles to his name, so far, but has struggled for form and fitness since winning the French Open in 2016. Anderson will be eying his first Slam after losing to Rafael Nadal in the Final of the US Open last year.
