Indian shuttlers Kidambi Srikanth and PV Sindhu have entered the quarterfinals of the Malaysia Open. 

In Kuala Lumpur yesterday, World No.7 Srikanth beat 15th seeded Chinese Taipei's Wang Tzu Wei 22-20, 21-12 in men's singles pre-quarterfinal. 

In women's pre-quarterfinal, Olympic silver-medallist and world No.3, P.V.Sindhu beat 39th



seeded Ying Ying Lee of Malaysia 21-8, 21-14. 
Earlier in the day, Olympic medallist Saina Nehwal crashed out of the Malaysia Open after a loss to world No 2 Akane Yamaguchi of Japan. 

Former world number one Saina made the 2nd round exit after suffering a 15-21, 13-21 loss as the match ended in 36 minutes.
