India will take on Sri Lanka in the second one day cricket international at Pallekele this afternoon.India is one up in the five-match ODI series after beating the hosts by nine wickets in their first encounter played at Dambulla. 

Sri Lanka need to win two ODIs in this series to make sure that West Indies do not overhaul them



in the ODI ranking and gain automatic qualification for the 2019 ODI World Cup before the September 30 deadline.

Sri Lanka lost their number one ranking in T20 while sliding badly in the Test and ODI tables. Earlier, India had outplayed the hosts 3-0 in the a lop-sided three-Test series.
