India today bagged one Gold and two Bronze medals in Rowing at the 18th Asian Games in Indonesia. The coveted yellow metal was clinched by the team of Dattu Bhokanal, Sawarn Singh, Om Prakash and Sukhmeet Singh in the Men's Quadruple Sculls event. Dushyant won the Bronze in the Men's Lightweight Single Sculls category, while the team of Bhagwan Singh and Rohit Sharma finished third in the Men's Lightweight Double Sculls.

With today's one Gold and two Bronze, India now have 21 medals overall - 5 Gold, 4 Silver and 12 Bronze in its kitty, and they are 9th.
In Shooting, 16-year old Manu Bhaker and Heena Sidhu have qualified to the Final of Women's 10-metre Air Pistol event. In the Qualification, Manu ended third with a score of 574, with Heena finishing at the seventh spot with 571 points.

Another CWG Gold medal winner, 15-year old Anish Bhanwala and Shivam Shukla are in action in the Men's 25-metre Rapid Fire Pistol Qualification. Men's 300 metres Standard Rifle Finals are also underway featuring Harjinder Singh and Amit Kumar.

In Archery, India lost to Mongolia, 4-5 in the pre-quarterfinals of Recurve Mixed team event. In the Compound Mixed team Round-of-16, India will face Iraq later today.

In Swimming, Sandeep Sejwal has qualified to the Final of Men's



50-metre Breaststroke. He finished at the top of his heat with a timing of 27.95 seconds.

In Tennis, the Men's Doubles pair of Rohan Bopanna and Divij Sharan will play for the Gold medal, while Prajnesh Gunneswaran will look to seal in a place in the Men's Singles Final.

Shuttlers Kidambi Srikanth and HS Prannoy will begin their Singles campaigns.

In Kabaddi, the Indian Women's team will battle it out against Iran in the Final. The Men's team had suffered a shock semi-final defeat to the Iranians yesterday.

Boxing events are also beginning today, with Gaurav Solanki and Manoj Kumar scheduled to play their respective opening round bouts.
In Weightlifting, Rakhi Halder will be seen in action in the Women's 63 kg division.

In Men's Hockey, India will slug it out against Japan in their third Pool-A game. All India Radio will broadcast live commentary on the match from 6:25 PM onwards.

In Squash, Saurav Ghoshal will meet Harinder Pal Singh Sandhu in the quarterfinals, with Dipika Pallikal and Joshna Chinappa also playing their last-8 matches.

Indian athletes will also be seen in action in the Finals of four different categories in Rowing, and two in Artistic Gymnastics.
