Four Indian shuttlers advance to 2nd round of singles in New Zealand Open

Four Indian male shuttlers B Sai Praneeth, Ajay Jayaram, Sameer Verma and Lakshya Sen advanced to second round of singles in the New Zealand Open Badminton Championship at Auckland yesterday. 

However, the Indian women had a disappointing day in the singles with both Jakka Vaishnavi Reddy and Chukka Sai Uttejitha Rao losing their respective



matches. 

In women's doubles, the pair of M.Jakkampudi and P.S.Ram advanced to the second round. In the men's doubles too, Manu Attri and B Sumeeth Reddy advanced to the second round. 

In mixed doubles, the pair of R.Kapoor and K.Garg and the duo of S.Sharma and P.S.Ram moved to the second round.
