Indian men's hockey team have taken the attack to their illustrious and in-form opponents, Rio Olympics silver medallists Belgium, in the quarterfinal of the FIH, Hockey World League Final (HWLF)at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar onWednesday. 

After the end of regulation time, the scores were tied



3-3 with the match to be decided in a shootout. India scored through Gurjant Singh, Harmanpreet Singh and Rupinder Pal Singh.

Belgium got one back through Loick Luypaert.India, who had an inconsistent run in the pool stages of the HWLF, finished bottom of Pool B with one point from their three matches.
