Gujarat Lions beat Kings Eleven Punjab by six wickets in Mohali. Dwayne Smith turned out to be the architect of the victory for Gujarat with a whirlwind 74 off just 39 deliveries to get Gujarat off to a flier while chasing a challenging 190 for win. Dinesh Karthik's 35 not out off 23 balls played a short cameo towards the end as Gujarat Lions reached 192 for four in 19.4 overs. 

Earlier, Put into bat, Hashim Amla (104) and Shaun Marsh (58) helped Kings XI Punjab post 189 for 3 in 20 overs. This was Amla's second century in the current



edition of the tournament. 

In another match, Kolkata Knight Riders beat Royal Challengers Bangalore by six wickets in the IPL cricket match played at Bengaluru today. Chasing a modest 159-run target, Kolkata romped home in 15.1 overs. 

The chase was set by Sunil Narine's whirlwind knock of 54 that came off 17 balls with six fours and four sixes. Narine reached his fifty off 15 balls equaling the record made by his teammate Yusuf Pathan in the 2014 edition. Narine also claimed 2 wickets.
