Electioneering gains momentum in Jharkhand

In Jharkhand, the electioneering is gaining momentum as the prominent leaders of different political parties are gearing up for the long-drawn election campaign for the five-phase State Assembly polls. Meanwhile, the process of filing of nomination papers for 15 Assembly seats commenced with the issuance of notification for the Fourth Phase yesterday.

Filing of nomination for this phase will end on the 29th of this month, while scrutiny will be taken up the next day. The last date for withdrawal of candidature will be 2nd of



December.

15 constituencies spread over four districts will go to polls in this phase on the 16th of December. These seats include Madhupur, Deoghar, Bagodar, Jamua, Gandey, Giridih, Dumri, Bokaro, Chandankyari, Sindri, Nirsa, Dhanbad, Jharia, Tundi and Baghmara. Out of these, three seats are reserved for Scheduled Castes.

The 81-member Jharkhand Assembly will go to polls in five phases between 30th of November and 20th of December and the counting votes will be taken up together on 23rd of December.
