Ranbir Kapoor is currently gearing up for the release of his upcoming movie Sanju, wherein he will take the viewers through the controversial journey of Bollywood's Khalnayak Sanjay Dutt.

Apart from that, Ranbir also has Brahmastra in the pipeline wherein he will be sharing screen space with Alia Bhatt, Amitabh Bachchan and Mouni Roy. If you thought that is enough, well, brace yourself to witness the new dacoit in Bollywood in the form of Shamshera set to be portrayed by Ranbir.

YRF announced their next with Ranbir on Twitter and also shared a small teaser for the same and Ranbir is unrecognizable in it. If one can recall, Pinkvilla was the first one to break that Ranbir has signed a movie with YRF which will be directed by Karan Malhotra.

YRF announced the good news on Twitter and wrote, "Presenting #RanbirKapoor in a never seen before avatar in YRF's next action adventure #SHAMSHERA. Directed by @karanmalhotra21"

In the teaser, we see Ranbir nailed the dacoit look like a pro and his heavy

baritone will make you all the more curious. The trailer gives a very Pirates of the Caribbean vibe and we cannot wait to see Ranbir in this never-seen-before avatar.

Talking about the movie, Ranbir Kapoor says, “Shamshera is exactly the film I was looking for. While growing up watching Hindi commercial cinema, I had an image of what a film hero should be doing. Shamshera allows me to do everything that I had imagined and it’s a very exciting project for me. Karan is going to take me completely out of my comfort zone and I’m looking forward to this challenge.”

This high-octane adventure is set in the heartland of India and will have jaw-dropping action sequences. Shamshera is set to go on the floors end of this year and shooting will wrap by mid-2019.

Meanwhile, Ranbir as Sanju in the biopic has already got everyone talking. His uncanny resemblance to Dutt has left everyone shocked and overwhelmed at the same time. The movie also stars Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma, Karishma Tanna, Paresh Rawal Manisha Koirala among others.
