Students in Telangana can opt for Urdu as second language

The State government has permitted Urdu as second language from Class VI to Class X for English medium students who opt Telugu as first language and English as third language.
To this effect, the State government has
made amendment to GO MS 86 and issued a new order on Wednesday. Students can now opt for either Hindi or Urdu in case Telugu has been chosen as first language. Earlier, this provision was not available for the students.
