MANUU elects its student leaders

Attaullah Niazi, PhD scholar from the Department of Commerce, was elected as the sixth president of Maulana Azad National Urdu University Student Union on Tuesday.

Abdullah Asim — Department of MCJ, MA, Nehal Ahmad from CS & IT and Mohd Faisal from MCJ, MA were elected as vice-president, secretary and treasurer respectively.

Aliza Fathima (BSc-BZC) was elected unopposed for the post of joint secretary. Md Sabilur Rahman from the Department of CSE was declared elected as executive member (Polytechnic).

Besides the headquarters, polling was held on other campuses at Bengaluru, Lucknow, Bhopal, Srinagar, Darbhanga, Aurangabad, Asansol, Sambhal, Nuh and Bidar.

Dr Mohammad Aslam Parvaiz, Vice-Chancellor of MANUU, congratulated the newly-elected office bearers and declared a holiday on Wednesday.

The investiture ceremony for winners would be conducted on September 15.
