Manipur schools to remain closed till July 8 amid violence

On June 30, the Manipur state government issued a notice stating to defer the resumption of normal classes at all schools in Manipur. According to the official notice, all schools will remain closed till July 8, and normal classes will resume after July 8 depending upon the situation.

The official order reads, 'The resumption of normal classes for



all the schools in the state, as issued vide order of even no. dated June 19, stands deferred till July 8 or until further order, whichever is earlier.'

The order also states that all the zonal education officers under the Department of Education Schools are directed to inform the same to all people concerned and take up necessary actions accordingly.
