Directorate of admissions, Kakatiya University, has invited applications for the admission into PhD programme under category -II (open to all ) for the academic years 2015-16 and 2016-17 in the faculty of arts, sciences, social sciences, engineering and technology, law, pharmaceutical sciences, education and commerce and business management.

According to director of admissions Prof Vadde Ravinder, a candidate is eligible for admission into PhD course in the respective subject, if he/she has obtained a postgraduate degree in the subject concerned from a recognised university securing not less than 55 per cent marks in aggregate (50 per cent marks for SC/ST/PH candidates) at the postgraduate level. And he/she must qualify in the entrance test conducted by Kakatiya University

The registration fee for PhD admission is Rs 300 for SC/ST/PHC candidates, the registration fee is Rs 400 for BC



candidates and Rs 500 for other candidates. The registration fee shall be paid in the form of demand draft / bank order issued by the scheduled banks in favour of director, directorate of admissions, Kakatiya University, Warangal.

The candidates shall submit filled-in prescribed application form along with necessary enclosures and a comprehensive research proposal to the office of the director, directorate of admissions, Kakatiya University, Warangal.

Admission to PhD course is subject to rules and regulations in force from time to time and admissions are subject to availability of vacancies. The number of seats in each department may vary at the time of admissions

The last date for receipt of the applications along with all copies research papers and research proposal at the office of the directorate of admissions, Kakatiya University, Warangal, by 5 pm on October 23. 

“Date of the interview will be informed to the candidates later by the office of the deans of the faculties concerned,” director of admissions Prof V Ravinder added.
