Special Operation Team (SOT) sleuths of Rachakonda on Wednesday busted an online sex racket and arrested the organiser. Police have also rescued the victim, a Tollywood junior artiste. The accused has been identified as Reddy Naresh Naidu alias Mahesh, 25, a resident of Yousufguda.

According to the police, Mahesh had uploaded the victim’s images in Locanto and other websites to attract customers. After police conducted a decoy operation, Mahesh was arrested. Another accused managed to escape.“The victim used to work in daily soaps, but was not getting roles for the past one year. After she started facing financial problems, she got into flesh trade,” said inspector Naveen



Kumar.

Police said that the accused were charging Rs 20,000 from each customer for the service. Through Locanto, the customers would contact the accused and then, they would ask them to come to their apartment in Uppal.

The accused would also get customers from other states, police said. According to the police, cops posed as customers to contact the accused and went to the apartment at Uppal in a decoy operation.

Police have booked the accused under Section 370 of the IPC and sections 3, 4 and 5 of The Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act. The victim was sent to a rehabilitation home and a manhunt has been launched to arrest the second accused.
