A businessman from Hyderabad who was kidnapped last week was killed on Thursday after his family failed to pay the ransom demanded his release.

The deceased, Vasudevraj resided at Mahesh Nagar in Kushaiguda was abducted by unidentified persons in disguise as business dealers. They took him to Singapore and demanded Rs 3 crore from the family as they



sent pictures of the victim being beaten up.

The family, however, requested the kidnappers to release him as they cannot pay the amount.

Vasudevraj was running a store by name RK Enterprises and was in financial problems. The Indian embassy officials are making efforts to get the victim’s body back by Saturday.
