Girl gang rape by TRS youth leader and 3 others; held

TRS youth leader K Rinakar and his three loyalists were arrested on Wednesday on charges of raping engineering first year student. Pulla Sanjeeva Rao, Deputy SP of Parkal, at a press conference said K Rinakar A1 in the rape case was taken into custody and he confessed to the crime.

Cases under various sections 366, 376, 384, 385 and 506 of IPC were registered against Rinkar. Three others B Vinay, Akhil and M Sandeep were also arrested in the case which took place on 30 December. A case under Nirbhaya Act was also registered against them.

Rinakar and his loyalists were produced in Parkal Sub Court and sent them to remand. The A1 was sent to Warangal central prison and the others were sent to Parkal sub jail. Shayampeta



mandal TRS youth wing president Rinakar obstructed the engineering first year student on December 30, 2015 at Mylaram village of Shayampet mandal when she was going to her residence with her boyfriend B Vinay.

According to sources, Rinakar threatened them by saying that police, media and their family members were searching for them as the couple’s whereabouts were known. The victim and her boyfriend got scared after hearing about the news and asked him to help victim drop at her residence.

Taking advantage of the situation, Rinakar diverted the route to hillocks and allegedly raped. Knowing about the incident, the TRS party has expelled Rinakar from the party and cancelled his primary membership from the party.
