Baby abandoned near Bhrathnagar Metro station, Hyderabad

A two-month-old baby girl was found abandoned near Bharathnagar Metro station’s lift on Wednesday. The child was noticed by a security guard named Nirmala, who alerted the Child Line, after which the baby was handed over to Shishu Vihar for her



care and custody. A case was registered at Sanathnagar police station under Section 317 (Exposure and abandonment of child under twelve years, by parent or person having the care of it) of the Indian Penal Code.
