Hyderabad: Two persons murdered a 42-year-old cook, Mohammed Ghouse of Amannagar, in front of his wife over unpaid salaries, Bhavaninagar police said on Thursday.

Police said Ghouse had called Mohammed Nadeem and Mohammed Imran, his assistants, to clear their salaries. When they arrived, he began insisting that they work with him as he had over 10 bookings. Both

refused, and an argument ensured.

Police said Nadeem gave Imran a knife who repeatedly stabbed Ghouse on his chest and stomach, even as the victim’s wife Mumtaz Begum tried to stop them. The duo escaped after the attack. Mumtaz Begum rushed Ghouse to the Osmania General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
