Maharashtra Tourism Development Corporation (MTDC) today said it has signed an agreement with Etihad and Jet Airways to attract more visitors to the state and to leverage on the airline's expanding international network. 

MTDC said in a release issued in Mumbai on Tuesday that under the MoU, there will be joint marketing activities to promote Maharashtra as a leisure



destination.It added that both the aviation groups would also provide information to its users on less-explored but high potential destinations in Maharashtra. 

Maharashtra Tourism Minister Jaykumar Rawal said that the state government aims to jointly put in place the strategies to increase Maharashtra's marketing footprint as the most preferred destination.
