The government has fixed the issue price of Sovereign Gold Bond (SGB) at 2,961 rupees per gram for the next subscription period under Sovereign Gold Bond Scheme 2017 -18. The next subscription period is 27th to 29th of this month.

Finance Ministry in a statement said, the government had floated Series-3 of Sovereign Gold Bonds 2017-18, for the period from 9th of



October to 27th of December this year.The Bonds will be issued on the succeeding Monday after each subscription period. 

The Ministry said, Centre in consultation with the RBI has decided to allow discount of 50 rupees per gram from the issue price to those investors who apply online and the payment is made through digital mode.
