Isuzu MU-X launched in India

Isuzu on Thursday announced the MU-7 replacement for India, with the launch of the new MU-X SUV for a price of Rs 23.99 lakh (ex showroom, New Delhi) for the 4x2 AT variant and Rs 25.99 lakh (ex showroom, New Delhi) for the 4x4 AT variant. The new MU-X will replace the company's flagship product, the MU-7, which has not been doing well for Isuzu in India for quite some time now. Isuzu has also commenced with the bookings for the MU-X as it rivals the Toyota Fortuner and Ford Endeavour in



India.

Showcased at the Tokyo Motor Show 2013, the Isuzu MU-X is a popular SUV choice in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and also Australia. Isuzu plans to make India a global production hub for the company as their manufacturing facility in SriCity, Andhra Pradesh is state of the art. The current production capacity at the Andhra Pradesh plant is 1.2 lakh vehicles annually. Isuzu currently has the D-Max V-Cross, D-Max S-Cab and D-Max on sale in India.
