EPFO adds 16.30 lakh net members during May 2023

The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has added 16 lakh 30 thousand net members during May this year. The data reveals that over three thousand establishments have extended the social security coverage of EPFO to their employees.

The Labour and Employment Ministry said,

the data indicates that around nine lakh new members enrolled during May, 2023 is the highest during last six months. Among the newly joined members, the age group of 18 to 25 years constitutes over 56 percent of total new members added during the month.
