3The AIADMK faction wants clarity on Jayalalithaa's death

The merger of two factions of AIADMK headed by Chief Minister K Palaniswami and former Chief Minister O Pannerselvam looks far away as a trust deficit doesn't seem to have melted away between OPS and EPS camps.
At a press conference in Pannerselvam's house, former Tamil Nadu minister and AIADMK (Puratchi Thalaiva Amma) leader KP Munusamy indirectly sought Palaniswami's resignation.
"EPS is not the people's CM. He is Sasikala's CM," Munusamy said.
Here is all you need to know about the possiblity of AIADMK merger:
Munusamy said since Jayalalithaa has died and Karunanidhi is not active there is a political void in Tamil Nadu and only OPS can fill it.
The OPS faction has stressed that AIADMK has to complete all formalities on removal of Sasikala and her family members for the merger to be effective.
"They claim to have removed Sasikala's family but they have to take back the affidavit submitted to EC calling Sasikala as general secretary and TTV as deputy," Munusamy

said.
He said the party should get their resignation letters and issue a statement that they have been removed from AIADMK. "If this is done, we'll accept that our demand has been accepted," the OPS camp leader said adding that the state government should recommend the Centre to initiate a CBI enquiry into Jayalalithaa's death.
Commenting on leaders of present dispensation remarking about CM's post, he said they never demanded it and isn't the issue.
"We never asked for CM or GS post. We wanted the doubts to be cleared on Jayalalithaa's death," he said reiterating that they began this dharma yudh with two conditions - a judicial probe into Amma's death and removing Sasikala's family.
"Why should Thambidurai talk about CM post? Nobody respects Thambidurai," he said adding that TTV Dinakaran was evicted because he has many cases against him that is why Sasikala family removed him.
The OPS faction claims that merger talks have not started between the two factions and subtly hinted about OPS having the people's mandate to become CM. "If an election had to happen then OPS will win".
The OPS team now claim that Dinakaran may have been ousted but Sasikala, her husband Natarajan and brother Dinakaran are the ones calling the shots. Ministers in the V K Sasikala faction have already revolted against their leader TTV Dinakaran, deciding to keep his family away from the party.
