AIADMK (Amma) party leader T T V Dinakaran was arrested by Delhi Police midnight last night after four days of questioning, for allegedly attempting to bribe an Election Commission official.

Along with Dinakaran, his longtime friend Mallikarjuna was also arrested for allegedly facilitating the deal between him and Sukesh Chandrasekar, the middleman in the EC



bribery case. The AIADMK leader and his friend will be produced in a court in Delhi today.

Police says, Mr Dinakaran had confessed to meeting Sukesh Chandrasekar, the middleman who was earlier arrested in the case. However, the AIADMK leader maintains that he did not pay any money to Mr Chandrasekar, and has denied the allegations against him.
