Three men transporting buffaloes were allegedly attacked by members of animal rights group PFA (People for Animals) on Saturday night in south Delhi's Kalkaji area. 

The three men were injured and were admitted to the AIIMS Trauma Centre. They were discharged shortly after medical attention. 

Two FIRs were registered; one against the three men for cruelty towards animals and the other for the assault against them. According to



reports those buffaloes were being taken to Ghazipur, Delhi's only slaughterhouse and biggest wholesale meat market. 

The victims were identified as Rizwan, Kamil, from Haryana and Ashu from Mathura. The animal right activists claimed that they had prior information regarding the inhumane transportation of cattle to the slaughterhouse and had sought help from the police to intercept the vehicle.
