Hyderabad: Telangana Joint Action Committee (JAC) Chairman, M Kodandaram was taken into preventive custody by the city police early on Wednesday.

A public rally to demand employment was planned on Wednesday by TJAC in the city. Permission for the rally was not accorded by the police following inputs on possible



violence.

Early on Wednesday, a team of East Zone police along with Commissioner’s Task Force personnel reached the house of the TJAC leader and took him into custody. He was later shifted to Kamatipura police station.

Across the city the police have set up check posts to prevent any outsiders from entering the city to participate in the programme.
