PV Sindhu to play second group match of Dubai World Superseries Finals today

Rio Olympics Silver medalist PV Sindhu will play her second group match of World Superseries Finals in Dubai today. She will take on higher placed Chinese Yu Sun.

In her opening game last evening, Sindhu had defeated Akane Yamaguchi of Japan, 12-21, 21-8, 21-15.Sindhu is placed in Group-B alongside Sun,



Yamaguchi and Carolina Marin, whom she lost to in the Rio Olympics Final.

Marin yesterday lost to Sun, 18-21, 22-24 in her opener. Top two players from each group will make it to the semi-finals.

Only the top-eight ranked players in the Dubai Rankings qualify for the tournament.
