In Tennis, Briton Andy Murray has attained the world number one ranking for the first time replacing Novak Djokovic. Murray needed to enter the Final of the ongoing Paris Masters to go at the ATP rankings and he did so after Milos Raonic pulled out before their semi-final due to injury. Murray is now the first Briton to hold the top ranking. He is the 26th man to hold the spot since computerised



rankings began in 1973.
Djokovic would have retained the top spot had he entered the Final. However, the Serb lost to Marin Cilic in the quarter-finals.Murray will take on John Isner for the title later today.
For the Doubles trophy, the top seeded French pair of Pierre-Hugues Herbert and Nicolas Mahut will clash with the Aussie-Finn tea Of John Peers and Henri Kontinen.
