Sam Harper, a 20-year-old wicket-keeper from Australia, was rushed to the hospital after being struck on the head by Jake Lehmann’s bat during a Sheffield Shield match at the Adelaide Oval, on Saturday.

The incident took place in the game between the Victoria Bushrangers and South Australia. Harper, keeping for Victoria, was standing up to the stumps to spinner Jon Holland when

Lehmann tried to hit the ball on the leg side and hit Harper’s head. The wicket-keeper was wearing a helmet at the time of getting hit, but still collapsed to the ground.

The cricketer was rushed to hospital for a CT scan after being attended by medical staff. It was later announced that Harper hasn’t suffered any internal bleeding but will miss the rest of the match.
