Rani Mukerji to play lady don

Mumbai, October 30, 2014 (Agencies)  Rani Mukerji who gave a powerful performance as Shivani Shivaji Rao in "Mardani" has been approached by filmmaker Apoorva Lakhia to play the underworld lady don, Haseena Parker, in a biopic based on her life.  Parker, who died of a cardiac arrest this year, was the younger sister of underworld don Dawood



Ibrahim and  involved in extortion cases and other crimes.

Lakhia, whose last outing was  Zanjeer, has reportedly done intensive detail research on Haseena Parker.  When we contacted with the actress's spokeperson to confirm the news, she said that Mukerji  was not in India and thus she could not comment on the same.
