New Delhi , May 20 : Sylvester Stallone really does not want to have his iconic legacy of 'Rambo' wrecked.

On hearing the news of a Bollywood remake of his iconic movie 'Rambo,' Stallone took to Instagram and expressed his thoughts on the same.

He wrote, "I read recently they are remaking Rambo in India !! .. Great character.. hope they don't wreck it."

The iconic film is surely a favourite amongst many action lovers and continues to be a hit with the audience.

Yesterday, a remake of the movie in India was announced and it stars none other than Tiger Shroff.

Earlier today, the 'Baaghi' star shared the first poster of the movie on Instagram and wrote, "Grew up on this character, humbled and blessed to step into his shoes years

later. #RamboRemake.

The Indian 'Rambo' will follow the last surviving member of an elite covert unit of the Indian Armed Forces who returns home to discover a war waging in his own land. Forced into the dangerous jungles and frozen mountains of the Himalayas, he unleashes mayhem and destruction, becoming the unstoppable machine he was trained to be.

Meanwhile, when Tiger was asked about the remake, he said, "Being a martial artist and a huge action movie buff since childhood, this all seems very surreal, and I'm very grateful for this opportunity. By no means do I believe I can replace the legendary Sylvester Stallone; however, I do feel that somehow this is something I've been preparing for since childhood."

Helmed by Siddharth Anand, the movie will go on-floors in February 2018.
