The Cyberabad police have arrested five members of the nine-member gang involved in the sensational Muthoot Finance heist at Beeramguda on the city outskirts last month.

Posing as CBI officials, the inter-State gang had taken away nearly 46 kgs of gold in a daring operation on December 28. Since then, the criminals have been eluding the dragnet spread by the Cyberabad police and also the police from

neighbouring States.

According to the police, five members were caught from villages on the borders of Telangana and Maharashtra and around 3.50 kg of robbed gold and Rs.10 lakh cash was seized from them.

The gang members are to be presented before the media on Sunday afternoon.
